Having trouble picking up larger seeds with your Turbo seeder? Try changing to 3/8 inch ID for the hoses going from the vacuum pump to the 3-way solenoid valve.
If you are a bedding plant producer, the big sow weeks are behind you. Now that things have slowed down a bit make some notes of where your inefficiencies are so procedures for implementing corrections can be developed for next year if you can't make them now. One thing to avoid is the change-over times. Keep the machines running to make sure the germination area stays full. What can you do to make seed changes faster? Take a step back and study how your seeding department could operate better.

After shutting down the seeding machines for the season, take an hour to vacuum clean, blow off and and cover the machine. Also flush the vacuum pump with Brake-Kleen. Use an air gun to blow out the fan and ventilation holes on your vacuum pump(Cylinder & Turbo)and small air compressor (Turbo only).
